Holistic Counselling

Trying to navigate life's complex transitions can leave us feeling depleted and lead to burnout, so it is essential to ensure that our emotional needs are being met. The first step can be releasing any anxieties or fears in a safe space and in a trauma-informed way. This can help to reconnect mind and body, and start the journey of recovery and healing from experiences which may be preventing us from moving forward in our lives.
Midlife is not the only period of transition when we can start questioning whether our life experiences and choices are providing us a sense of meaning and fulfillment. And these challenges do not have to destroy our confidence or result in crisis; we are far more than our bodies and biological processes, and during times of transition we can learn how to move out of survival mode and instead begin to thrive.

Individual, family and couple counselling sessions are offered in Langwarrin and via phone or Zoom. These utilise an integrative strengths-based approach, which can include attachment and family systems theories, as well as solutions-focused therapy. They may also incorporate mindfulness-based and somatic modalities to calm the nervous system and release stress, tension and trauma.

There are also opportunities for 'walk'n'talk' sessions where we can have therapeutic conversations outdoors in nature, as well as play sessions together with your child. Babies are also welcome.

No referral required.

"Natalie was an amazing support before, during and after the birth of my first child. She helped me work through all my thoughts, emotions and deep fears about childbirth until we uncovered the type of birth I actually wanted to have. In the weeks and months following, she helped us transition to life with a baby, debrief about the birth and with support for postnatal depression and anxiety. Throughout the whole journey she was there for any questions or concerns. Choosing Natalie for support was one of the best decisions we made."
